In addition to viewing Mediasite videos in the Brightspace course, an instructor can create video-based assignments. These video assignments require you to submit a video through the LMS that will then be graded by your instructor. There are two possibilities when submitting a video, either add an existing video or add a new video.

Add New:

The first method to submitting a Mediasite video to complete an assignment is to upload a new video. This is completed by accessing My Mediasite within the Brightspace Course assignment.

1. Locate the module within the course content and open the assignment.
2. Click the Insert Stuff button.
3. Choose Mediasite Assignment from the list of available plugins.
4. Choose Add New.
5. Select Upload a file from my computer.
6. Select the file
7. Give your video a title and description then click Create Presentation.
8. Click Add Presentation to Assignment.
9. Click Insert.
10. Click Submit to assignment.

Select Existing

Daily use of video during your course may lead you to have the video for your assignment already available in My Mediasite. In this case you can choose to submit an existing video for your assignment.

1. Locate the module within the course content and open the assignment.
2. Click the Insert Stuff button.
3. Choose Mediasite Assignment from the list of available plugins.
4. Click Select Existing to open My Mediasite.
5. Select the video you would like to use for your assignment.
6. Click Add Presentation to Assignment.
7. Click Insert.
8. Click Submit to assignment.
