We are excited to announce new features for Mediasite Mosaic and Mosaic Pro that help expand the ways that content creators can capture their most important videos.

Windows 11 compatibility for Mosaic

Mediasite Mosaic and Mosaic Pro for Windows are now fully compatible with the Windows 11 Operating System.

Mediasite Mosaic Pro

Mediasite Mosaic Pro is an enhanced version of Mediasite Mosaic for Windows and Mac that opens up a set of new features that are suited for capture in shared spaces like classrooms, auditoriums and conference rooms.

Scheduling

With Mediasite Video Platform 8.8+ and Mosaic Pro for Windows v2.3+ (or Mac v2.2), you can now schedule Mosaic Pro recordings. Using the Management Portal, you can create schedules for users recording presentations on their desktop using Mosaic Pro. The schedule and the presentations created with it will be associated with the user profile and will be visible to the user when they log into Mosaic. Like recording with a hardware Recorder, using a schedule automates the presentation creation process for Mosaic Pro users using pre-defined presentation properties. Once the recording is complete, the user can upload their presentation to My Mediasite manually or automatically. 

Podium Mode

Mosaic now has support for Podium PCs. Mosaic can now enter ‘Podium Mode’ if configured to run on podium PCs by administrators. This includes a number of optimizations to register and maintain that registration for podium users, set default recording options, and suppress tutorial mode.

This allows users to easily register Mosaic for use and record scheduled presentations. For more details on configuration options, please see KBA4117.

Mosaic Registration

When configured for podium use by administrators, users register Mosaic simply by logging in with their credentials. Additionally, Mosaic can now utilize the Windows Credential Manager to save a Mosaic Registration ticket and re-register on a clean install or on another Domain joined Computer.
