Previous versions of Mediasite Video Platform have recently added support for RTMP live streaming for both Mediasite Recorders and third-party services. Mediasite Version 8.9 has been enhanced to now also support RTMPS. RTMPS is a modern standard that, when implemented, will allow Mediasite Recorder and third-party software / hardware to broadcast live to Mediasite using a secure connection.
Mediasite allows you to stream live presentations, using RTMPS, from third-party streaming services such as OBS Studio and Wirecast Go. Once you add the presentation, you will specify the stream key and Server URL on the streaming service. You are then ready to stream live. Your audience can then view the live stream in Mediasite Player the same way they would with other presentations. After completing the live RTMPS stream through Mediasite, the complete stream can be available for on-demand playback at the same Mediasite presentation link as the live stream. You can then share the link with your audience, include it in a channel, or edit the presentation if you would like to make any changes.
Mediasite 8.9 has added the ability to implement System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) specification. Organizations can now use SCIM for managing user identities in cloud-based applications and Mediasite applications. When using SCIM, administrators can easily and securely manage users, groups, and permissions.
