The most basic method of accessing Mediasite within your organization is to have users log in with a local Mediasite profile. The advantage of using local profiles is the simplicity and control. As the Mediasite administrator there is no need to set up an integration with a third party provider. You will have complete control over who can log in as accounts are created manually. Because of its simplicity, local Mediasite accounts are best suited for smaller organizations and deployments with a minimal number of users needing Mediasite authentication.

Logging in with a Local Mediasite Account
Most everyone should be familiar with logging in to Mediasite as it shares functionality with other common sites. The first time a user logs in with a local Mediasite account, they will need to validate their profile.
- Navigate to your organizations Mediasite domain. Typically http://yourorganizationname.mediasite.com/mediasite/manage.
- Enter your Username and Password then click Sign In
- Click Continue to send the Validation email and continue to Mediasite
- Within the validation email, click the link to validate your profile
The MediasiteAdmin account is always a user account in the Local Mediasite Directory.
